Modern Grocery Cart by Tara K Magee in Food

9 years ago, Zachary Adam Zell said:

Great Ivia.

One concern would be why would the stores want to implement this in to their shopping carts if it makes their customers more frugal.

You could state that some incentives for the stores to implement this feature would be the possibilities of;

1. the ability to track the carts movements
2. track what customers buy at what price
3. create incentive based coupons upon the return of carts
4. require sign up for the availability for the service

Electronic Tolling by Collin James Yballa in Government

9 years ago, Zachary Adam Zell said:

One issue I have with the electronic tolling systems like fast track is the almost monthly bills mailed. If you miss one of the bills given to you there is a late fee. That is unnecessary, a simple fix would be to just add the fees to a end of the year bridge tolls bill presented by the DMV.

Keep thieves out of your garage! by Steven Chae in Home

9 years ago, Zachary Adam Zell said:

Great Ivia, garages hold some of our most valuable possessions and it could be fairly devastating financially to lose them. The Zip Tie method is a great method for a quick fix.

I would like to see garage openers be somehow synced with a phone app so you can open your garage with your phone, and also know when it is being opened. In the case of the garage being opened with out you or any of your family doing so, then police or neighbors could be contacted to check on the situation.

Introducing A Law to Eliminate Monopolized Cable Packages, Allowing Consumers to Have More Choice. by Zachary Adam Zell in Government

Clearly there is a need for more competitors. Just today I read in the news that AT&T is trying to purchase DirectTV for about 50 billion dollars.

If this happens who is left? Comcast will own Time Warner, AT&T will own DirectTV and then there is Dish Network and that's about it.

Its essentially archived when, more ivias pass it on the lists. Also I would recomend the giants looking in to tulo still. We may be one of the only teams able to afford paying for him.

Ultra Violet Light Stethoscope Sterilizer by Joe Magee in Science

Awesome ivia! I am wondering if we could replace all the outer metal pieces of stethoscopes (and any metal in contact with patients on a daily basis) with a copper-alloy. Apparently copper-alloy surfaces kill bacteria.

Antimicrobial properties

Copper alloy surfaces have intrinsic properties to destroy a wide range of microorganisms.
